[Monnaka Dorayaki Dorayama] A new dorayaki specialty store with moist and fluffy dough baked by the owner every morning is now open in Monzennaka-cho.

2022.08.20

Dorayaki from Monnaka Dorayaki Dorayama, a dorayaki takeout specialty store that opened in Monzennaka-cho, a sacred place for Japanese sweets with a downtown atmosphere on June 24, 2022 (Fri), is attracting attention.
You will want to eat them again, and you will want to eat them every day. We offer such delicious dorayaki.

Authentic dorayaki with a new texture of soft pancake-like dough

Dorayaki has long been loved as a part of Japanese culture.
Taking advantage of the taste of dorayaki as it is, we have created a unique, moist and fluffy dorayaki with moderate sweetness, using the time-consuming traditional method of making Japanese sweets with the essence of Western sweets, and baking each dorayaki by hand.
This is Monnaka Dorayaki Dorayama.
All of the ingredients used in Dorayama are carefully selected and made in Japan in pursuit of the best taste.

[August Only] Juicy "Shun Dora" Made with Peaches

“Shun Dora” offers dorayaki sandwiched between different seasonal fruits each month.
In July, “fig dorayaki” using figs was on sale.
In August, “Peach Dorayaki” using fresh peaches, which are at their best right now, is on sale.
Please enjoy the luxurious taste of fruit dorayaki with fluffy dorayaki skin, soft white bean paste, and cut peaches on top.

A cute retro store with an iconic large "noren" curtain on the first floor of a renovated condominium.

The exterior looks somewhat nostalgic.
It blends into Monzen Nakacho, which retains the old-fashioned downtown atmosphere, and the locals visit with a sense of familiarity.
The place is one back alley from the main street, and among the rows of buildings and condominiums, suddenly a noren with a large dorayaki illustration comes into view.
Its size is astonishingly large, with a total length of 2m square, and the large noren is fluttering in the wind.

Demonstration of hand-baking every morning in the store

We bake fluffy dough every morning.

Dorayama’s Dorayaki are made from dough and baked by hand from 7:00 a.m. every morning.
The amount of dough, the way the flour is mixed, and the way the crust is baked are all done in the Dorayama style, and even the slightest mistake will result in a completely different result.
The dorayaki cannot be made by machine, so please enjoy them on the same day.
We have also achieved a dough that stays moist the next day without using any additives, but we recommend sealing the dough in a Ziploc or similar container to prevent it from drying out.

Individually packaged for eating and walking

Paper wrapping with cute Dorayaki mark

By tearing the paper bag from the center perforated line, you can easily enjoy the dorayaki on the street without getting your hands dirty.
Customers often think they look like Famichiki(Family Mart Chicken).
The individually wrapped packages allow you to enjoy the dorayaki while touring the shrines and temples of Monzennaka-cho, taking a break in the park, or taking a break at home with a cup of coffee in hand.

Feel free to bring it to your family, friends, or workplace

We can also provide a dorayaki box that holds about 10 pieces and a modern, cute paper bag.
Dorayama’s highly sensitive wrapping paper, which can be adapted to various occasions and TPOs, is a consideration that only Dorayama’s dorayaki can provide, as we want you to enjoy them with friends you know well.
The ease with which you can take a bite is also a nice point.
