2022.12.06

Suguki, one of the three major pickles in Kyoto, which can only be pickled in winter, is now available again this year at our stores and online store.

Characteristics of Sugukizuke

“Suguki” is a type of turnip, and along with senmaizuke and shibazuke, is one of the three most popular pickles in Kyoto. It is pickled only by farmers in the Kamigamo and Nishigamo areas of Kyoto, and is a very rare pickle.
It is characterized by its matured, full-bodied sourness and the inherent sweetness of turnips, and once you try it, you will become addicted to the taste. This year, too, the pickles turned out delicious, and are on sale a little earlier than usual, from November 29.

Price: 1 piece (approximately 340g) from 1,080 JPY (incl. tax)
*Because the whole “Suguki-zuke” is sold in units of one, the weight varies depending on the product.
Sale period: December to March
Sales: Stores and online shops of Kamo no Suguki Sales Office
