On the food floor of the Seibu Ikebukuro main store, a new food spot has been created that meets the needs of a wide range of generations, from long-established feasts and maniac seasonings to famous sweets that you meet while traveling and sweets from your hometown.
At Unohanagaki, a confectionery shop that collects famous confections from all over Japan, you can find nostalgic cheap sweets, Japanese confections made by popular young craftsmen, and trendy sweets all in one place.
Feel free to buy Japanese sweets from long-established and famous shops
In the newly established “Ohitotukara(from one)” corner, sweets are sold individually and can be purchased from one.
We offer the convenience of purchasing as many long-established Japanese sweets and local sweets as gifts and snacks.
In addition to famous confections, there are cute cookie tins and assorted sets that are recommended for small gifts and souvenirs.
Communicating the history and culture of Japanese sweets
In addition to developing seasonal products and seasonal ingredients that change daily and monthly,
By conveying the history and origins in an easy-to-understand manner, we will make proposals that will make you feel more familiar with Japanese sweets by letting you know the unique Japanese food culture of “tasting Japanese sweets according to the season and seasonal calendar”.
Reflecting the opinions of young employees on the sales floor
Paying attention to the fact that young people are moving away from Japanese sweets, employees of the same generation are involved in the renovation, researching other business categories and conducting questionnaire surveys in preparation for the renovation, reflecting real needs in the sales floor.
We will also develop a variety of cutting-edge Japanese sweets, such as sweets that focus on the appearance of “cuteness” and “stand out”, and Japanese sweets that incorporate elements of Western sweets.
In addition, we are also particular about wrapping, and we have newly adopted an original drawstring bag that can be used as a gift by packing sweets. We aim to create a sales floor that appeals to those who have never been interested in Japanese sweets.
At Ajikoji, a specialty product from all over the country, you can find a variety of delicacies and delicacies that are unique to Japan, including the tastes of traditional Japanese restaurants and long-established restaurants in Kyoto.
You can always enjoy the taste of prefectures’ pride at home.
Prefectural specialty
From Hokkaido to Okinawa, we have gathered specialty products and hometown flavors from all over the prefecture.
Taste of Kyoto
In the popular long-established taste corner of Kyoto, we will collect gems that symbolize the historical food culture of Kyoto, such as Harema’s Chirimen Sansho and Mishimatei’s Beef Shigureni.
Taste of famous restaurants
We have prepared the taste of long-established restaurants in various places, such Tokyo Kitcho, Kikunoi, and Murasakino Wakuden.
Specialties/limited items
We will develop monthly special features that match the season and motivation, such as special event corners that change for a limited time, developments that change on the day of the week, and limited items ordered by airmail.
