The Eitaro Honsen Nihonbashi Main Store reopened on August 1, 2020. In addition to the old-fashioned Eitaro products, we have gathered together brands that had limited sales destinations so that all of them can be purchased here. Including the existing Kotarou, we have all 5 brands (*). In addition, there are many recommended things, such as a demonstration of fresh confectionery production and a coffee shop that offers a special taste despite its casual style. At the moment, we are in the coronal blight and it is necessary to be careful when going out, but we would like to welcome the customer as much as possible to prevent infection. We would like to aim to become a new “tourist attraction”/”stopover” for Nihonbashi, which will be reborn.

■About Eitaro Sohon Co., Ltd.
In 1818, the Hanno confectionery shop Tokubei Hosoda went out to Edo with his two grandchildren, and started confectionery production at Kudanzaka with the name “Izutsuya”. Soon after, Tokubei’s great-grandson, Eitaro (later Hosoda Yasube III), opened a store in 1857 (Ansei 4) in Nishikawagishi, at the foot of Nihonbashi. After that, he created the original name of “Anetagaru” after his childhood name, “Amanatto”, the originator of Amanatto, “Umeboshi candy”, and “Tamadare”, Ariheito. In August 2020, refurbished the main store in Nihonbashi.
