From December 6, 2022 (Tue) to February 5, 2023 (Sun), “In Commemoration of Junno Uemura’s Receipt of the Order of Culture, Flower and Bird Paintings with Heart: Uemura Shoko and Junno” will be held.
The flower-and-bird paintings by Uemura Shoko and Junno are not reproductions of our everyday space on silk or paper. What is depicted is a beautiful world created in the artist’s mind.
The two artists have continued to depict the world of birds and flowers, which they believe is the essence of oriental painting. In this exhibition, visitors will be able to enjoy the beautiful world created from the hearts of both Shoko and Junno through approximately 90 works by both artists.
