NIPPON FOUNDATION now accepts “Cosplay de UMIGOMI Zero Award”!

The purpose of this award is to raise awareness of marine litter issues to cosplayers around the world who have a high level of environmental awareness and communication.
We are looking for activities from around the world that are unique to cosplayers (action section) that lead to reduction of marine litter and environmentally friendly cosplay costume recipes (costume section).

A review committee composed of marine litter experts and leading experts in the manga, anime, and game industries will select outstanding initiatives, and the Grand Prix will be awarded an incentive of 1 million yen.

About Marine Waste Countermeasure Project “CHANGE FOR THE BLUE”

In order to create a movement that raises the awareness of society as a whole, “no more garbage in the sea”, this project is to create a model for reducing marine waste in collaboration with 12 stakeholders, including industry, government, and academia.
