2021.01.11

Another “Sugawara water mirror” following the “after-ripening series” as the third of the miraculous new genre spirits “Sugawara water mirror” that whiskey experts have said to be unique in the world. “Sugawara Water Mirror Water Mirror Series Black (Noir) Label” will be solicited for support from December 28, 2020 (Monday) to February 27, 2021 (Saturday) at the crowdfunding “Makuake”. , Limited pre-sale.

Last time, the first and second pre-sale of the “Sugawara Water Mirror (Post-Mature Series)”, which was sold two times before, also achieved the target amount on the first day of its release and updated the highest amount ever achieved in the “Makuake” spirits project. This time, which is the third installment, we have already achieved the target amount in the fastest 7 hours of publication.

What is Japan's finest spirit "Sugawara Water Mirror"?

“Sugawara Liquor” is a miracle new genre of spirits born from the challenge of world-famous spirits such as whiskey, rum and tequila.

Discovered the good compatibility between carrot shochu and barrel aging, and discovered that adding barrel-aged barley shochu adds a more gorgeous aroma and thickness to increase the complex taste, and sake dealer Sugawara announced in 2018 We have commercialized the first “Sugawara Water Mirror 14 Years”.

Sugawara Water Mirror 14 years

The one and only new genre "Vegetable Spirits" that has been praised in the world

Today, Japanese whiskey is highly regarded around the world, while authentic barley shochu, which uses the same barley as whiskey, is hardly recognized in the world market.

Therefore, if the barrel-aged authentic shochu can be blended well, it may be recognized overseas like Japanese whiskey, and it may be possible to make something comparable to the world’s famous and famous spirits. Trial has begun. The “Sugawara Water Mirror” was finally born after repeated trial production many times. In 2019, we officially exhibited at the reception of G20 Fukuoka, and many praises were received from participants from each country.

"Sugawara Water Mirror (Liqueur Series)", the highest ever spirits project in history, with a target achievement rate of 513%

Although the first “Sugawara Sugawara 14 Years” was praised by many customers, we wanted to bring out the potential of shochu, which is a traditional Japanese spirit, to the limit and grow it into a sake that can compete with the world. There were still many issues to be solved in order to realize our feelings.

This is because it was very difficult to obtain a deep, complex and diverse taste like whiskey, even though the sake was aged in barrels of authentic barley shochu. Therefore, under the supervision of a whiskey expert, in order to take advantage of the quality characteristics of the base carrot shochu, the “Sugawara Water Mirror After-Mature Series” was newly born in 2020, with a focus on barrels.

About "Sake merchant Sugawara"

A sake specialty store in the Tenjin area of Fukuoka. In the old days of Japan, we don’t just buy and sell sake. There were many liquor stores that were liquor dealers who uniquely blended liquor procured from various breweries and competed as liquor only for that store.
“Sake dealer Sugawara” continues this tradition.
