The sweets buffet will be held for the first time in two years on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from January 15th to May 8th, 2022 at the Kyoto Century Hotel’s buffet restaurant “All Day Dining La Jyho”.
This sweets buffet, which will be the first revival, will be the “Strawberry Sweets Buffet”, which features sweets mainly made of strawberries and comparison of eating fresh strawberries.

Surrounded by many strawberry sweets, we will deliver a sweets buffet that will satisfy your heart with happiness. “Strawberry tart” with strawberries is a dish that spreads the mellow aroma of black tea and the sweetness of strawberries with each bite.
“Strawberry caramel chiffon” with plenty of spilling cream and lots of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and so on. We offer “Strawberry Souffle Cake” with white chocolate with a feather motif on a soft and fluffy pale pink dough.

Eat and compare seasonal strawberries

In addition to sweets, you can enjoy as many fresh strawberries as you like. From a variety of strawberry varieties with different seasons, we offer 5 delicious ones at that time. Please enjoy eating and comparing delicate strawberries with different tastes for each variety.

Make your own koppe-pan sandwich

You can enjoy the original koppe-pan with your favorite toppings such as fresh strawberries, cream, red bean paste, yakisoba and napolitan. It can be used as sweets or light meal.

Non-alcoholic strawberry cocktail

The sangria-style “Strawberry Cocktail”, which has a bright red color and strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry, is served non-alcoholic. It goes well with sweets and light meals, and you can feel the refreshingness in the sweetness.

The Hiroshima Museum of Art is hosting the exhibition “ZIPANGU: Contemporary Artists Who Defined the Heisei Era” (November 2, 2024 – December 22, 2024). This showcase brings together works by some of the most prominent figures in Japan’s contemporary art scene, including Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami, Makoto Aida, Yoshitomo Nara, Chiharu Shiota, Izumi Kato, Akira Yamaguchi, and Miwa Komatsu. The exhibition has already garnered significant attention, exceeding 10,000 visitors.

HYAKKEI covered the dialogue between contemporary artist Takashi Murakami and Sueo Mizuma, the curator of this exhibition, held at the RIHGA Royal Hotel Hiroshima. We also conducted an exclusive interview with Mr. Mizuma.

The discussions centered on the aspirations behind the ZIPANGU exhibition and offered forward-looking insights, not only into Japan’s art world but also into the rediscovery of value within Japanese culture by its people.

Two types of paper seals made exclusively for autumn, ‘Chrysanthemum and Tanzaku’ and ‘Autumn Leaves and Candles’, have been available since Monday 9 September at Daisho-in Temple on the World Heritage island of Miyajima. Quantities are limited and will run out as soon as they are gone.
