Aomori fruit not just apples: pear ‘General Leclerc’ on sale for two weeks only.

A new fruit juice and sweet shop in Jiyugaoka, Tokyo, called Ichikabo, will be selling juices, parfaits and other products focusing on pears from 22 November (Fri) to 5 December (Thu), 2024.

General Leclerc is a pear with melting flesh and dripping juice. Aomori Prefecture is the leading producer of this brand in Japan, and the harvest season begins in late September and ends in early October.

Pears are harvested from the end of October to the end of November as they ripen to a delicate, smooth texture and mellow flavour.

Seasonal Ichikatsu is a special fresh juice made with plenty of pear pulp and blended to order on the spot. By using lots of fresh pears, the rich, original flavour of the fruit fills your mouth.

The Ichikatsu Parfait is an original two-layer parfait with special whipped cream and lots of fruit on top of the seasonal Ichikatsu. The softness of the whipped cream enhances the deliciousness of the fruit and the smooth pear flavour is a perfect match.
