Ryotei Hansuiro is now offering a winter-only Torafugu Kaiseki Plan featuring torafugu from Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture.

The ‘Torafugu Kaiseki Plan’, which was featured as a one-star restaurant in the Michelin Guide Fukuoka/Saga/Nagasaki 2019 Special Edition, will be available from Wednesday 8 January to Friday 14 March 2025.

About the winter-only ‘Torafugu Kaiseki Plan’.

Torafugu from Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, is considered the finest of all torafugu species. In the middle of the Meiji era (1868-1912), the ban on eating fugu was lifted by Ito Hirobumi, Japan’s first prime minister, and it is said to have spread throughout the country.

This special plan allows you to fully enjoy the king of winter delicacies, torafugu, with its beautifully presented transparent tesa, fugu nabe (blowfish hotpot) concentrated with the flavour of fugu, aromatic zosui (rice porridge), albacore and fried fish.

Enjoy the ‘Torafugu Kaiseki Plan’ presented with the craftsmanship and exquisite hospitality of Ryotei Hansuiro.
