Limited edition original gin ‘NISHI-GIN’, jointly produced by a group of restaurants in Nishijin, on sale from 25 November.

Nagagusu Restaurant, which has been operating in the heart of the Nishijin area of Kyoto since 2015, has decided to sell ‘NISHI-GIN’, an original Nishijin gin, as a new shop drinks menu item from 25 November, jointly with people operating restaurants in this area.

Use of the plant ‘mulberry leaf’, essential for the production of ‘yarn’, which is essential for textile production.

NISHI-GIN was created by Yoichi Motoki, the distillation engineer who created Kyoto Dry Gin ‘Ki no Mi’, produced by the Gin Distillery. Mulberry leaf was used as a botanical to enhance the special local flavour. Through this product, we will contribute to ‘regional revitalisation’.
