Shinwa Wise Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ginza, Chuo-ku, President Yoichiro Kurata) announced at a press conference held on February 16 that it will start production of Edoverse.
Iehiro Tokugawa, the 19th generation of Muneya Tokugawa, was supervised by a partner. We aim to create a completely new metaverse that makes use of the values and ecosystem of the Edo period.
In Edoverse, the city of Edo will be reproduced in a virtual space, and users will participate with avatars. You can exchange NFT art and various services developed in Edoverse with tokens (virtual currency) called Edo Coban / Edo Zeni as assets.
In addition to recreating the city of Edo, we have built a unique ecosystem within Edoverse by introducing values unique to Edo culture into the virtual space. The concept is to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
President Kurata of Shinwa Wise Holdings said, “We would like to build a system that contributes to solving poverty and disparity problems through these ecosystems, and contribute to the promotion of new art and culture. Also, Edoverse is the second user. I want you to spend your time as your hometown. “
Shinwa Wise Holdings, which has been responsible for promoting culture centered on the art scene, plans to enter various stakeholders such as various service industries while building on the development of art works, and reproduces the city of Edo in the past as it is. Instead of doing it, we will seek out the “now” of Edo.
Mr. Ieyasu Tokugawa, the 19th head of the Tokugawa Shogunate, said, “The city of Edo itself has high cultural and artistic value, and it will be a space where you can fully enjoy it as art. Also, Tokugawa who opened up the Edo period. Ieyasu’s aim was to eliminate war and build a highly sustainable city and system. In that sense, I think that you can fully feel the significance of contributing to society. ” I put it in.
Established Edoverse Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Shinwa Wise Holdings Co., Ltd., with an eye on the construction of Edoverse. Over the next year, we will build a closed beta version and aim to release an open beta version by 2023.
As the momentum for the birth of Metaverse increases worldwide, I am looking forward to the future development of Edoverse, which was born from a unique idea linked to the cultural values and ideas of Edo.
