New cafe brand “TSUBOICHI TEA PLACE” from a long-established tea wholesaler of the 170th anniversary

2020.09.24

Charyo Tsubo City Tea Honpo will open the first store of the new cafe brand “TSUBOICHI TEA PLACE” in “Sennan Long Park” in Osaka Prefecture in September 2020. It will open on the 16th of March.

A new brand that proposes ways to enjoy coffee for the present age, wanting to preserve the culture of tea in the future

Tsuboichi Seicha Honpo has been manufacturing and selling tea in Sakai as the only tea wholesaler since the Edo period for 170 years since it was founded in Rikyu’s Furusato Sakai in 1850.

Every year, a skilled craftsman makes tea leaves that the tea master goes to the tea producing areas nationwide, and the final processing is done in a hygienic factory that clears international standards. In the whole process, the commitment to the quality and taste of tea is domestic. We are proud to be top class.

On the other hand, as PET bottle tea is becoming more common and the consumption of high-quality tea leaves brewed in Kyusu is decreasing, there is a strong sense of crisis that the taste of real tea is being forgotten from Japanese memory. I am holding. Therefore, we launched a new brand that conveys the appeal of tea to younger generations who are not familiar with teapots.

A menu committed to "real taste" that does not make you say "taste"

Recently, the number of tea cafe menus aimed at various Instagram looks is increasing. The products offered by TSUBOICHI TEA PLACE were developed with the concept of “genuine taste” and “loveliness that makes you want to take pictures”.

Therefore, tea is the main cafe menu where you can feel the deliciousness, enjoyment, and splendor of tea so that you can feel the seriousness of the tea wholesaler. Among them, the product has a cute appearance so that you can take a picture of the wonderful time you can get through the tea of your friends and one person.

Although it is a self-service casual cafe, it does not use any of the ready-made packed tea or tea bag tea used in many cafes, but uses plenty of high-quality tea leaves carefully selected for each menu. We are doing it.

Also, regarding the method of brewing, we will make use of our expertise in the nature of tea and use chasen and tea utensils without being bound by traditional formats and traditions. We offer a new way of brewing tea that is closer to modern life.

Matcha Latte (ICE) 550 yen plus tax, which is made by adding high-quality matcha finished at our own factory to each order.

I want to find a switch for each person's "tea may be good" with original craft tea

In addition to the standard tea menu, we also sell a menu where you can enjoy a new way of enjoying tea that brings out a new taste while making the best use of the taste of tea.

For example, “Matcha Creamosa”, a craft tea finished with “Matcha x carbonated water x white honey x whipped cream”, has been established as a standard menu in American cafes for many years, but it has not been seen in Japan yet. It was developed with the hint of “Creamosa”, a drink that combines “flavored syrup x carbonated water x coffee fresh”.

In order to bring out the strong taste of matcha, we do not just use high-quality matcha that is originally used at tea parties. We are particular about each ingredient, such as using handmade fresh cream and homemade molasses in the store.

A cup of strong matcha flavored with a cream that is less sweet and refreshingly finished with strong carbonated water is a recommended drink that many people should try.

Matcha Creamosa 600 yen excluding tax

In addition, we also sell craft tea using herbal teas such as rooibos tea, rose hips, and hibiscus, making use of our knowledge as a tea maker that handles a variety of tea leaves other than Japanese tea. We do not use any fragrances, artificial sweeteners, or colorings, and express a new taste by combining only the flavors of the ingredients.

Rooibos Sangria Tonic 550 yen excluding tax Bottle size + 280 yen excluding tax

You can enjoy not only drinks but also rich tea sweets!

At TSUBOICHI TEA PLACE, we are particular about not only drinks but also sweets so that you can enjoy the original taste of tea in a different way.

“Matcha milk shaved ice” is made by sprinkling homemade matcha honey and milk honey on ice that has been thinly shaved with a Sakai knife. Cold menu such as “Gyokuro soft serve” that uses plenty of “Gyokuro” which is a bit different from matcha.

A baked confectionery developed exclusively for this shop in collaboration with the development members of the 7th dan tea appraiser and the hotel pastry chef. We pursued the taste and quality of tea so that you can know the charm of tea even from the entrance called “Sweets”.

Matcha milk shaved ice 700 yen excluding tax
Matcha charcoal roll cake drink + tax not included 400 yen
Dark tea affogato 590 yen excluding tax

Enjoy tea to the fullest in the glass-enclosed store with a spectacular view, one of the 100 best sunsets

The inside of the store, where you can overlook the magnificent view of the coast from the window, is open, and you can enjoy cafe time while enjoying the atmosphere of an overseas beach regardless of the season.

There are swing seats in the store and on the deck, and neon photo spots and illustration art are displayed on the walls of the store, so there is also a place where you can take stylish photos with the products.
