Maruyama Park is Kyoto's premier cherry blossom viewing spot

Maruyama Park is adjacent to Yasaka Shrine, which is known as “Gion-san,” and is known as a place of relaxation for the citizens, centered on the historic Ikezumi strolling garden where carp swim gracefully.
In the spring, it transforms into one of the most famous cherry blossom spots in Kyoto, and there are about 700 cherry blossoms such as weeping cherry blossoms, Yoshino cherry blossoms, and wild cherry blossoms in the park, and it is a big spot that is crowded with many cherry blossom viewing visitors every year.

A particularly popular symbolic existence is the “Gion weeping cherry tree” that rises behind Yasaka Shrine.
In the daytime, the large branches are lit up with beautifully colored flowers, and in the evening, they are lit up to give a majestic appearance.

At eXcafe, you can bake the dumplings that have been a part of the common people’s cherry blossom viewing for a long time, and enjoy the freshly baked dumplings with red beans and mitarashi sauce.

Until the dumplings are baked, it will turn into a precious time to feel the four seasons while looking down at the weeping cherry blossoms, the pond, and the people who came to see the cherry blossoms.
