Hoshinoya Okinawa: Enjoy tea time while feeling the refreshing autumn breeze with the ‘Souju Afternoon Tea’.

2024.06.17

From 1st September to 30th November 2024, Hoshinoya Okinawa, the highest peak of Okinawan luxury with the best swimming pool in Japan, will be offering a ‘refreshing autumn afternoon tea’ by the pool overlooking the beautiful sea.

The pool at Hoshinoya Okinawa was awarded ‘Travel and Leisure Luxury Award Asia Pacific 2023 Japan Hotel Pools NO.1’. The poolside pools in the ocean-facing location are separated by tropical plants in various areas, making them as relaxing as a living room.

Enjoy the taste of Shikwasa from the early harvest to the fully ripe season.

Souju Afternoon Tea is a tea set that allows you to enjoy the different flavours of Okinawa’s signature citrus fruit, Shikwasa, which is harvested in early autumn. Shikwasa starts out as a sour, blue-coloured fruit, but as autumn progresses, the sourness fades and the sweetness becomes stronger.

At the Sou-Autumn Afternoon Tea, you can enjoy freshly picked shikwasa with a touch of champagne, or sample the different flavours of shikwasa with scones and a selection of jams, all with a focus on the differences in taste depending on the time of harvest.
