2024.08.07

Cheesecake specialist Atami Mill Cheese will launch four products on its summer-only menu from Saturday 20 July 2024: the fruit-filled Summer Cheese Drink Tropical Mango/Peach/Berry and the Atami Cheesecake Mango, a three-layer cheesecake.

The perfect summer cheese drink with lots of fruit.

Price: 680 yen (incl. tax)

A new summer-only product is the Summer Cheese Drink, which uses luxurious fruit! As well as ‘Tropical Mango’, which allows you to enjoy the season’s mango to the full, there are three other flavours: ‘Berry’, which goes perfectly with cheese, and ‘Peach’, which is a slightly more unusual combination.

A new summer-only flavour with mango has been added to the signature Atami Cheesecake.

Price: 470 yen (incl. tax)

One of Atami Mill Cheese’s signature products, Atami Cheesecake is a bottle-type cheesecake with three layers: the first layer is a rich and smooth Basque cheesecake made with French cream cheese; the second layer is a refreshing and light cream with sour domestic sour cream and lemon added. The third layer is a rich rare cheese cake made with pure fresh cream and Hokkaido cheese.

Iide Town, Yamagata Prefecture] “Submerged Forest of Lake Shirakawa,” a Mysterious Spring-Only Scene

The mysterious scenery of Lake Shirakawa in the town of Iide in southern Yamagata Prefecture can be seen only during two months in spring. In spring, a large amount of melt water flows into Lake Shirakawa from the Iide mountain range, one of Japan’s 100 most famous mountains, where there is heavy snowfall. When the lake is full of water, it creates a fantastic sight of white willow trees as if they are growing out of the water.
