Kyoto Art Grace Wedding Hills] “Han-ari Otsukimi Afternoon Tea” with “Usagi no Otsukimi Parfait”, inspired by the full moon in the night sky.

2024.08.21

On selected days in September 2024, the wedding venue Kyoto Art Grace Wedding Hills will offer a ‘Hanari Otsukimi Afternoon Tea’, where guests can enjoy sweets and savouries inspired by the moon viewing on the fifteenth night of the month.

Feel like watching the moon with sweets unique to the ancient capital of Kyoto.

The eight Japanese and Western-inspired sweets include rabbit-shaped monaka sandwiched with yuzu-flavoured white bean paste, yellow macaroons with a full moon image sandwiched with sweet potato buttercream, and tarts with custard and fresh figs on hojicha-flavoured almond dough.

The speciality ‘Usagi no Otsukimi Parfait’, which symbolises the theme, has a three-layer base of yellow peach, rare cheese and blue curacao jelly, decorated with yellow peach mousse, rabbit-shaped chocolate and amber sugar to resemble a full moon and the moon on the night of the 15th.

Options include a set of three colourful Temari sushi and chasoba, which is also recommended for lunch.
