Representative Director Shigeru Yamashita Comment
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support for sightseeing in Fujikawaguchiko Town.
Due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection this year, most of the annual tourism events have been canceled or postponed for the time being.

Under these circumstances, the “Go To Travel Campaign Project” was implemented with the aim of stimulating domestic tourism demand, but I think that there are still some concerns and anxieties about tourism and travel.
In addition, with the pretext of putting the health care of the people first, local governments nationwide have forgotten the annual event and have stopped promotion.

Tourism plays a very important role in revitalizing the region, and it is clear that the domestic tourism industry will be in a catastrophic situation if nothing is done.

The federation has decided to hold the “22nd Fujikawaguchiko Autumn Leaves Festival” as usual in order to revitalize the depleted regional economy. Starting from the foot of Mt. Fuji, which is also a symbol of Japan, here in Fujikawaguchiko Town, we will promote the way of traveling based on the “new lifestyle” in the era of Wiz Corona.
I’m sure there are some criticisms about holding the event in the current domestic situation, but I would like to take all possible measures and take courage to work on it, hoping for the reconstruction of tourism in Japan.

Therefore, we would like to ask all of you for your deep understanding and come to Fujikawaguchiko Town.
