The four heavenly kings are said to be glaring at the evil demon (Jaki), the enemy of Buddhism. You can spend time as if protected by these Nebuta faces.
2 “Nebuta copy picture” that calms the mind by tracing the Nebuta picture
Nebuta paintings depicting Fudo Myo, who is said to have benefits such as disaster relief blessing and demon dispersal, are available in the guest rooms. This is a newly written Nebuta master for this plan. You can calm your mind by layering thin paper on the Nebuta picture and tracing it one by one.
3 “Neburi Nagashi Lantern” that takes a bath in a hot spring and removes dirt
The origin of the Aomori Nebuta Festival, “Nebuta Nagashi,” is an event that dispels sleep and drains impurities into rivers and the sea. At Aomoriya, this Neburi-nagashi is expressed in an open-air bath in winter. Wishes written before bathing are placed in a small lantern and floated around the nebuta.
Nebuta is the northern guardian deity “Bishamonten”. Bishamonten has been worshiped as a god who brings wisdom and good luck. You can enjoy the Yukimi open-air while looking at the Nebuta and thinking about your wishes.
