We will hold “Sea of Clouds in the Moomin Valley” again this year, where you can enjoy a cool experience of midsummer at Moominvalley Park, a place where you can meet new discoveries.
Against the backdrop of the Moomin mansion, which is the symbol of Moominvalley Park, the mist becomes a fantastic sea of clouds and surrounds the Moominvalley area.
In addition, there will be summer-only projects that you can enjoy even in the hot summer, such as a water play spot for children on Lonely Mountains.
Enjoy the cool experience of midsummer at “Sea of Clouds in the Moomin Valley” this summer.

About the Moomin story
Moomin Story was established in November 2013 with the aim of conducting a theme park project with the theme of Moomin Story.
Moomin Monogatari holds a license to expand this theme park business not only in Japan but also in Asia, and plans, produces and sells various products related to Moomin Monogatari to be sold in Moominvalley Park. We also have a license to do it.
In March 2018, we established Rights and Brands Co., Ltd., which collectively manages the license of “Moomin” in Japan.
We are also involved in the operation and management of the adjacent Mezza Village, and are working to promote the entire Mezza business.

Online “MOOMIN SHOP”
Japan’s first online “MOOMIN SHOP” in collaboration with Moomin Characters of Finland, the copyright holder of Moomin, will open its grand opening on March 1, 2022.

The Hiroshima Museum of Art is hosting the exhibition “ZIPANGU: Contemporary Artists Who Defined the Heisei Era” (November 2, 2024 – December 22, 2024). This showcase brings together works by some of the most prominent figures in Japan’s contemporary art scene, including Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami, Makoto Aida, Yoshitomo Nara, Chiharu Shiota, Izumi Kato, Akira Yamaguchi, and Miwa Komatsu. The exhibition has already garnered significant attention, exceeding 10,000 visitors.
HYAKKEI covered the dialogue between contemporary artist Takashi Murakami and Sueo Mizuma, the curator of this exhibition, held at the RIHGA Royal Hotel Hiroshima. We also conducted an exclusive interview with Mr. Mizuma.
The discussions centered on the aspirations behind the ZIPANGU exhibition and offered forward-looking insights, not only into Japan’s art world but also into the rediscovery of value within Japanese culture by its people.
