[Tengayado Garden] Garden in Autumn Colors: 200 maple trees overlooked from the Autumn Leaves Pavilion.

2023.11.21

Tonogayado Garden was created using spring water from the Kokubunji Cliff Line and its fringes, and taking advantage of the wooded landscape of the Musashino area. In the fall, the approximately 200 Iroha maple trees located in the garden change color, and from the “Momiji-tei,” a tea house in the sukiya-zukuri style, a colorful autumn scene full of natural beauty can be seen below.

Designated as a national scenic beauty spot. One of the highlights of the garden is its landscaping, which changes its atmosphere with the bright lawn on the cliff, the spring-fed pond below the cliff, and the trees.
In November, the garden will host several events, including a tour in which the garden’s gardener will demonstrate and explain “Yuki-hanging,” a winter garden accessory, and a bonsai exhibition in a part of the “storehouse,” which is usually closed to the public.
