‘Nikko Chaya Tabane no Shi’, a specialist shop selling Japanese-style crêpes, is set to open on Saturday 18 July 2026. It will offer three varieties of Japanese-style crêpes, including the ‘Kakegawa Matcha Brûlée’, made with matcha from Kakegawa in Shizuoka.
‘Nikko Chaya Tabane no Shi’ is a specialist shop for Japanese-style crêpes that blends traditional Japanese culture with a contemporary sensibility, based on the concept of ‘bringing joy to people all over the world through Japanese-style crêpes’.
Using high-quality matcha from Kakegawa City in Shizuoka Prefecture, the shop offers Japanese-style crêpes made with a unique blend that brings out the authentic aroma and umami of the matcha. In addition to the harmonious flavour of the chewy, perfectly baked crêpe batter and smooth cream, the packaging features ‘mizuhiki’—a traditional decorative cord symbolising the bonds and sentiments that connect people—thus expressing the beauty of Japanese culture down to the finest detail.
