From Monday 14 September 2026, ‘cafe SKY 40’ on the 40th floor of the Umeda Sky Building’s Floating Garden Observatory will be offering the ‘Rich Matcha Parfait’ as a limited-time autumn special, allowing guests to enjoy the luxurious flavour of matcha and the colours of autumn.
At ‘cafe SKY 40’ on the 40th floor of the Umeda Sky Building’s Sky Garden Observation Deck, there is a glass counter approximately 35 metres long running alongside the windows, allowing you to enjoy your coffee break whilst feeling as though you are ‘floating in the sky’.
Furthermore, all the coffee served here is roasted in-house using the café’s own roaster, starting from green beans. As well as savouring a carefully crafted cup on the spot, you can also purchase coffee beans to enjoy at home; these also make excellent souvenirs.

We have combined our soft-serve ice cream—which has been highly praised by many of our customers—with a rich matcha sauce, allowing you to savour a flavour where the rich aroma of matcha harmonises with the creaminess of the milk.
Inside the parfait, we’ve layered smooth matcha jelly, flavourful sweet red bean paste and sakura-flavoured whipped cream. The gentle sweetness of the sweet red bean paste and the slight bitterness of the matcha blend together exquisitely, ensuring you’ll enjoy every last bite.
