KIMONO MODERN, a project to deliver masks to medical institutions and welfare facilities with a part of sales

2020.07.04

At KIMONO MODERN (operated by WITH THE MODERN), which sells kimono, obi, small kimono accessories, etc., if you purchase the production area products handled by “KIMONO MODERN”, you can buy a mask for a part of the sales. , Is making efforts to donate to welfare and medical facilities.

Declining traditional industry

Finally the declaration of emergency has been lifted and the economy is gradually recovering. However, the “now” of traditional industry is currently difficult. There are many workshops and factories that have been forced to close their business, and the spread of the new coronavirus infection has further hit the ground, and the production area is in poverty.

It's time to enjoy and contribute to society

Although Japan has the tradition and skill to be proud of in the world, we must not let it decline.
I thought about what I could do as a person involved in kimono. Then we arrived at the production center support project.

If you purchase a production area product (Hakata Ori, Kurume Kasuri, Awa Shijira, etc.) that is handled under our brand “KIMONO MODERN”, we will purchase a mask for a part of the sales. We are making efforts to donate masks to the welfare and medical facilities that are doing their best in Corona.

"Enjoying kimono will support the production area and contribute to society."

This project is to work with customers while having fun. We believe that each and every small process creates consumption, triggers production, and leads to the tradition being passed on to future generations.
