Yokohama Grand Intercontinental Hotel Celebrate Setsubun with a large strawberry-rich “Ehomaki Roll”

2021.01.15

At Yokohama Grand Intercontinental Hotel, we will sell “Ehomaki Roll”, which uses large strawberries that are inevitably sold out every year, for a limited time and quantity from Saturday, January 30th.

“Ehomaki” is a sweet version of Ehomaki devised by our pastry chef, with the image of Ehomaki, which is synonymous with Setsubun. Since its launch in 2010, the hotel has been well received every year and is now a seasonal staple of the hotel. Light cream that melts in your mouth using high-quality ingredients and 5 whole fresh “Tochiotome” are wrapped in a moist and soft sponge and cocoa-flavored crepe dough that looks like seaweed.

The Ehomaki roll, which the pastry chef carefully rolls up one by one, is a blissful dessert with elegantly sweet whipped cream and sweet and sour strawberries that match perfectly in your mouth. We also paid particular attention to the size so that even children and women can wear it in a circle. Enjoy a moment full of smiles at home with the Ehomaki roll that “engages fortune”.
* Setsubun in 2021 is February 2, and Ehomaki is “south-southeast”.
