January 8, 2021 “D-matcha Co., Ltd.”, an agricultural corporation that produces tea in Wazuka Town, Kyoto Prefecture, the main production area of Uji tea, has a “Matcha Chocolate Tasting Set” where you can eat and compare three different types of matcha with chocolate. It started selling from the day.
Like wine, Japanese tea is cultivated in a variety of varieties. The taste of tea varies widely depending on the variety.
This new product was born from the idea that you can feel free to enjoy the delicate differences in the taste of single-origin matcha as if you were enjoying wine tasting.
Even if the hurdles for authentic matcha tasting are high, anyone can easily enjoy it anywhere by comparing the taste of matcha chocolate.
This product is an assortment of 3 types of matcha chocolate, “Yabukita”, “Samidori” and “Gokou”.
(1) Yabukita: The most major variety that occupies 75% of the nationwide cultivation area. Characterized by a refreshing astringency.
(2) Samidori: A representative variety of Uji matcha born in Kyoto. You can enjoy the good flavor and umami.
(3) Goko … A variety born in Kyoto. A high-class variety suitable for matcha and gyokuro. Characterized by strong umami and sweetness.
The matcha concentration of this matcha chocolate is 12%. It has a very strong finish that sets it apart from ordinary matcha chocolate in terms of both appearance and taste. From the moment you put it in your mouth, the rich flavor of matcha spreads on your tongue, and the tea leaves are the main flavor.
-100% of Uji matcha grown in-house for tea ceremony-
All matcha used is home grown tea from Wazuka, Kyoto. The most delicious spring harvested bancha of the year is a high-grade grade commonly used for tea ceremony. Matcha chocolate made from 100% luxuriously using only the first tea.
-The tea game “Chakabuki” that people in the old days enjoyed-
Chakabuki is a game that has been around since the Muromachi period, where you can guess the origin and type of tea, and drink tea to compete for the correct answer rate.
This product can be said to be a modern version of Chakabuki. If you enjoy tasting games with your family and friends at home, you will surely get excited.
・ Try eating one of each variety and remember the difference in taste.
・ For the second one, hide the order and eat chocolate, guess which variety is which, and compete for the correct answer rate.
We also recommend the “Matcha Chocolate Eating Comparison Set” where you can enjoy different matcha concentrations from 3% to 24%.
In addition to the “Matcha Chocolate Tasting Set” where you can enjoy 3 types of tasting tea, we also recommend the “Matcha Chocolate Eating Comparison Set” where you can eat and compare matcha chocolates with different concentrations from 3% to 24%.
The “Matcha Chocolate Eating Comparison Set” is a classic popular matcha chocolate from d: matcha that has a beautiful green gradation and uses one cup of light tea for each grain at 24% of the maximum concentration.

-A tea farmer who handles everything from tea production to processing, sales and export at once-
d: matcha is an agricultural production corporation that grows tea and processes tea leaves by itself, plans and sells new tea products, operates a Japanese tea cafe, and actively exports Japanese tea overseas. Taking advantage of the fact that d: matcha can be involved in all processes related to Japanese tea from upstream to downstream, we plan products and experience programs using Japanese tea that cannot be developed in other Japanese tea producing areas. However, we will strive to provide opportunities for people to become more fond of Japanese tea and foster an interest in Japanese tea.
