Incense “HAKO” with leaves made from Japanese paper

2019.11.01

Established in 1893 (Meiji 26) on Awaji Island, the birthplace of Japanese “incense”, Kunjudo(薫寿堂) created “HA KO” for young people in urban areas. The delicate design is beautiful just to put on and decorate. Just like that pick up the leaf of your favorite shape, take it home, and feel free to leave it at the front door. A wish has been put into the scent of life.

“HAKO” is an incense with leaf motifs, carefully crafted manually by craftsmen, using Japanese paper specially made by a method. The scent varies depending on the design and color of each leaf, and there are 8 types of scents using raw materials that have been passed down since ancient times. When scented as an incense, it exhibits a deodorant and antibacterial effect, and the scent spreads throughout the space. In addition, delicate designs are beautiful even when placed and decorated and can be enjoyed as interiors.
