Coordinating space and works Group exhibition “The Past in Motion” by 9 artists

2021.08.22

Auberge, an accommodation facility with a restaurant serving regional cuisine.
Coordinating works with the theme of “staying to meet memories” for lounges, restaurants, and guest rooms.
We curate while carefully digging up the history of Miyota, Nagano Prefecture and the memories of the land, and introduce a wide range of Jomon pottery excavated from the site of Auberge to contemporary art.

In the exhibition at KOTARO NUKAGA (Tennozu), we will consider the relationship between the past and the present through memory, based on the concept for Auberge.
There are various ways of expressing the nine people in the exhibition, but it can be said that they are artists who recapture the past and leave a margin of interpretation in what they see.

Participating artists (honorific titles omitted):
Eugene Atget, Darren Almond, Mototaro Ishizuka, Hiroshi Isoya, Kyoji Takubo, Koichi Tabata, Ritsue Mishima, Tomoko Yoneda, Man Ray
