The JAYDERISM THE NFT II auction held at the SHINWA DIGITAL ART GALLERY closing party achieved the highest bid of 10 million yen.

Closing party (February 26th) to conclude the digital art exhibition “SHINWA DIGITAL ART GALLERY” held by Shinwa ARTEX Co., Ltd. An auction entitled JAYDERISM THE NFT II was held, and all 5 lots were put up for sale.

All lots were sold in this auction, and the work “Lost on the Open Sea” set a successful bid record of 10 million yen. This amount broke Jayder’s auction record.

The venue was crowded with a large audience and was filled with enthusiasm. With the spread of blockchain technology and the evolution of expression in the digital world, the NFT art scene will become even more exciting in the future. It was an event that made us feel the future.

What is the artist "The Jayder"?

Born in Los Angeles, California. His real name is Jesse Franklin a.k.a. The Jayder. He is currently based in Japan.

He studied painting and sculpture and studied digital media at the Otis College of Art and Design. He has a technical and unique art style that combines nature and future technology, combining cubism and flowing lines, which style is called “Jayderism”.

He is familiar with 3D art, providing animation and art techniques, and has a background in music videos such as Gnarles Barkley’s “Crazy” in 2006 and Justin Timberlake’s “Lovestoned” in 2008.

After his arrival in Japan, he has contributed to the three-season color collection of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and the lighting and rendering of “Sonic the Movie” in 2019.

Jader's body painting work announced at the auction site

His digital art work focuses on body painting, which has a limited viewing time, where art is lost forever when washed away. He respects femininity as an art and paints a woman’s body as a canvas that expresses beauty and fascination. The colors on her body are said to express her feelings for the future and Jesse’s passion for science fiction.

The unlit woman’s body acts as a canvas, and the neon-lit lines reflected by the UV light weave the art. Jesse creates a unique NFT collection with a deep love for “Jayderism” and the mysterious Metaverse.

[Hoshinoya Tokyo] “New Year’s Kabuki Stay” brings the hospitality of an Edo Period theatrical teahouse to the present day.

Hoshinoya Tokyo, a Japanese-style inn located in Otemachi, Tokyo, will again this year host the “New Year Kabuki Stay” program, a two-day and one-night stay from January 5 to 26, 2024.
For people living in Edo, one of their New Year’s pleasures was to watch Kabuki, and it was a chic way to spend the New Year. Theatrical teahouses supported this way of enjoying Kabuki. In addition to arranging tickets to the theater, the teahouses delighted patrons by providing a complete range of services, including plot notes, tea, sweets, makunouchi box lunches, and snacks and drinks (*1). Hoshinoya Tokyo offers a stay to celebrate the New Year with hospitality similar to the theatrical teahouses of the time.

[Shinjuku Gyoen x Naked] NAKED Autumn Foliage in Shinjuku Gyoen 2023 to be held

From November 22 (Wed) to December 3 (Sun), 2023, an autumn foliage lighting event will be held at Shinjuku Gyoen. Following the cherry blossom event this spring, Shinjuku Gyoen and Naked will collaborate again this fall for the autumn foliage event. Shinjuku Gyoen, one of Tokyo’s most famous gardens, is one of the few places in the city where visitors can enjoy the autumn leaves. The 200-meter-long rows of plane trees, the best maple tree spot in the city, Momijiyama, and the “Middle Pond,” with its spectacular reflection in the pond, will offer a world where the autumn leaves of Shinjuku Gyoen and Naked’s art and food are fused together.
