A new information dissemination space is born in “Ryutopia” so as not to extinguish the light of art

2021.04.17

The Niigata City Performing Arts Center (Ryutopia) is a garden for activities to create art and culture while everyone in Niigata interacts.
An information exhibition space “Ryutopia INFO BOX” has been set up in the observation lounge on the 6th floor.

Approximately 30 items that can only be seen here, such as Japan’s first dance company dedicated to public theaters based in this museum, props used in Noism performances and Noh masks used in Noh experience, are exhibited. It has been released since March 11th.

Due to the corona disaster in 2020, the number of events at Ryutopia has decreased. Among them, we will continue to provide information that tickles the intellectual curiosity of Niigata citizens without turning off the lights of culture and art. The information exhibition space “Ryutopia INFO BOX” was created against the background of the desire to have Ryutopia become attached to it.

The Niigata City Performing Arts Center (Ryutopia) is a facility that was born to become the center and transmission center of music and performing arts, with three halls such as a concert hall, a theater, and a Noh theater.

There are also relaxing spots such as cafes and outdoor gardens, which not only disseminate art and culture, but also serve as a base for creating once-in-a-lifetime meetings.
