Saga Prefectural Product Distribution Design Corporation is a company that aims to make many people taste the best sake from Kyushu’s best liquor, Saga’s delicious liquor, and Saga’s strawberry brand Ichigo-san. SAKURA CHILL BAR 2020 by Saga, a collaboration with Afro & Co. led by Afromance, a party creator who creates “I want to experience it once in a lifetime” such as Slide the City and Bathtub Cinema, It will be held at Shibuya Center Street “Fiore Pizza Dining & Bar” for 5 days from March 13 (Fri) to 17 (Tue), 2020.

In addition to drinking “Sakura Bath” buried in 1.2 million petals and drinking Saga’s sake “Sagan Sake”, in addition to Saga’s specialty snacks using the second year of debut brand strawberry “Ichigosan”’, this year We offer pizza and parfait using edible flowers (edible flowers) with the theme of “Eating Hanami”.

“SAKURA CHILL BAR by Saga” is a concept bar where you can experience “chill out” (slowly) while cherry blossom petals “fly”. A cherry blossom bath with a large cherry tree and 1.2 million petals in the room is set up, and you can enjoy drinking Saga sake and enjoying Saga’s specialty snacks together with Sakura Masu, a motif of cherry blossoms. The Hiroshima Museum of Art is hosting the exhibition “ZIPANGU: Contemporary Artists Who Defined the Heisei Era” (November 2, 2024 – December 22, 2024). This showcase brings together works by some of the most prominent figures in Japan’s contemporary art scene, including Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami, Makoto Aida, Yoshitomo Nara, Chiharu Shiota, Izumi Kato, Akira Yamaguchi, and Miwa Komatsu. The exhibition has already garnered significant attention, exceeding 10,000 visitors.

HYAKKEI covered the dialogue between contemporary artist Takashi Murakami and Sueo Mizuma, the curator of this exhibition, held at the RIHGA Royal Hotel Hiroshima. We also conducted an exclusive interview with Mr. Mizuma.

The discussions centered on the aspirations behind the ZIPANGU exhibition and offered forward-looking insights, not only into Japan’s art world but also into the rediscovery of value within Japanese culture by its people.
