[KAI Unzen] “Unzen Hitori Onsen Sankaku Plan”, a plan to fully enjoy Nagasaki’s culture and hot springs, is now on sale.

2024.07.17

From 3 July 2024, Kai Unzen will offer the ‘Unzen Hitori Onsen Sansatsu Plan’. The interior design of Kai Unzen incorporates the Nagasaki culture, a mixture of Japanese, Chinese and Dutch elements that has developed as a result of the exchange of various people and cultures. Unzen Onsen, where Kai Unzen is located, has unique and historic public bathhouses and is a recommended area for visiting hot springs and experiencing traditional crafts. We offer you the freedom to spend your time on your own.

Local room, Waka Orchid Room.

The Waka-Ran room incorporates Nagasaki culture with colourful stained glass in the partitions, lighting using Nagasaki beadro, and hasami-yaki (scissor porcelain) with a Nagasaki dragon motif.

This plan shows one of these rooms, the “open-air bath with guest room” type. More than half of the room’s accommodation space is an outdoor bathing area, allowing guests to enjoy the bath as often as they like.

Gogeiraku 'Letterpress Printing Experience'.

Visitors can choose from around 220 letters of the alphabet, hiragana and kanji in a variety of fonts to print their message. Depending on the force used, the letters may rub off, giving visitors the experience of printing by hand.

Taste local food at your leisure in a semi-private dining room.

Dinner and breakfast are served in a semi-private dining room where guests can enjoy a sense of privacy and dishes are served that make the most of the local culinary culture. Kaiseki cuisine is served, with the main dish being ‘Ago Dashi Shabu Shabu’, where beef is dipped in a refined and tasty Ago Dashi broth and eaten with the broth.
