[Minoh, Katsuo-ji Temple.]‘Zero congestion’ measures during the autumn foliage season, such as ‘dedicated shuttle bus service’ and ‘special night-time lighting’, will commence from 9 November 2024 (Saturday).

2024.11.15

To coincide with the autumn leaf colour period, Katsuo-ji Temple will extend its regular visiting hours to 20:30 (last admission at 20:00) on Sat 9 Nov – Sun 1 Dec 2024 for Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and hold a special night time lighting.

Until now, during the autumn foliage season and New Year’s first visit to the temple, there has been a traffic jam of more than 4 km between Minoh Station on the Hankyu Line and Minoh Kayano Station on the Kita Osaka Kyuko Line and Katsuo-ji Temple. The shuttle bus service between Minoh Station on the Hankyu Line and Katsuo-ji Temple makes it possible to visit the temple in about 40 minutes.

We hope that inbound tourists and students, who until now have had difficulty visiting due to lack of access to private vehicles, will come and see the spectacular autumn foliage, which was ranked seventh in the country (the only Osaka prefecture to be selected) in the ‘Top 10 Best View of Autumn Foliage at Night’ according to a survey conducted in September 2023 by Jalan.
