“Local Temari Sushi Assortment” where you can enjoy 15 types of Temari sushi at domestic facilities such as eel and Nozawana

2020.08.16

On 1st September, 2020, “Tejiri Temari Sushi Assort” will be available at all the facilities of Hoshino Resort’s hot spring inn brand “Kai”.
We packed 15 types of Temari sushi that symbolize each facility in Japan in a wooden box, such as Kabayaki of eel and pickled Nozawana. When you open the drawer, you can see the colorful Temari sushi, and you can feel the excitement of opening a jewelry box. In addition, we focused on directing the scene of eating Temari sushi, such as lighting up the autumn leaves and setting up with the theme of art autumn so that you can feel the long night of autumn. By squeezing Temari sushi, you can spend a long autumn night luxuriously while traveling around Japan.

In the past, it was eaten to fill the stomach in the middle of the night, but nowadays, it is eaten in various late-night scenes with the increasing trend of enjoying night culture. If you would like to stay at an onsen ryokan, you want to spoil yourself and spend the long autumn nights luxuriously, so we have developed “Local Temari Sushi Assortment” in the world.

・Wooden box with the excitement of opening a jewelry box

We made a wooden box with drawers for putting Temari sushi in the original KAI. When you open the drawer, you can see the colorful Temari sushi, and it’s exciting like opening a jewelry box.
There are four drawers, the first row from the top is a piece of paper on which you can write items and recommended scenes to eat Temari sushi, and each of the second to fourth rows contains five types of Temari sushi. The drawer design is based on the image of autumn leaves on the second tier, moonlight on the third tier, and stars in the night sky on the fourth tier.

KAI Tsugaru "Tsugaru Four Seasons Water Garden"

We also focused on the production of the Temari sushi scene, such as lighting up the autumn leaves and setting up the theme of art autumn. For example, at the hot spring inn “Kai Tsugaru” in Owani Onsen, Aomori Prefecture, the autumn leaves in the water garden are illuminated. Traditional crafted Tsugaru-nuri lamps and lanterns with colored leaves floating on the water create a fantastic atmosphere.
