RISONARE Yatsugatake, a festival to celebrate the arrival of spring “Corridor Flower Blooming RISONARE 2021”

2021.01.12

From April 16th to May 16th, 2021, the resort hotel “Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Yatsugatake” in the Yatsugatake area, which is rich in nature, will hold a festival “Corridor Flower Blooming RISONARE 2021” to celebrate the arrival of spring. The flower-blooming resonance of the corridor is the 17th spring staple event this year. There are 100 large flower motifs with a height of 1.5 to 2 m, which is double the number of last year and colors the corridor.
In addition, you can spend a spring time on Peman Street, which is full of flowers, such as a picnic park where you can spend your time freely on the greens spread over the plaza, and drinks using edible flowers.

The 17th Corridor Flowering Resonale with Big Flowers

The flower-blooming resonance of the corridor is the 17th spring staple event this year. On the main street “Peman Street”, which has a total length of 150m, 100 “Big Flowers” with a height of 1.5 to 2m, which is twice as high as last year, are lined up and sway in the breeze. It is an event where you can feel the balmy spring with the flower seedlings grown in the Yatsugatake area where flowers bloom one after another. From April 29th to May 5th, tulips and gerberas from one of Japan’s leading production areas will be laid out like a carpet, and colorful petals will decorate the corridor.

Three points of "Flower-blooming Resonale in the Corridor"

1. Main street “Peman Street” that is colorfully colored with big flowers

Big flowers with a height of 1.5 to 2 m are lined up on Peman Street, which has doubled from 50 last year to 100, making it a more gorgeous and colorful corridor. If you stand on the stepping stones in the flowerbed, you can enjoy it as a photo spot where you can take pictures with big flowers.

2. Flower corridor made by everyone

During Golden Week, tulip petals are laid out like a carpet to decorate the corridor. Guests can experience keeping the flower corridor clean as a “fleur keeper” who works with the hotel staff to water the flowers and spread the petals. This is an initiative that allows guests to participate in the flowering resonance.

“Fleur keeper”

Period: Held every day from April 29th to May 5th on Saturdays and Sundays during the period
Time: 8: 00-9: 00

3. “Flower-blooming picnic park” to enjoy in an open-air space

At the foot of the tower on Peman Street, the “Flower Blooming Picnic Park”, where you can spend your time in an open-air space, will appear again this year. The park has a lawn, so you can spread out your seats and enjoy a picnic or run around freely. At the park, we will hold a workshop “Jumbo Flower Making” that can be enjoyed by everyone from small children to adults.

Jumbo flowers are large paper flowers with a diameter of 45 cm or more, made of colorful materials such as pink and orange. The completed work will be useful in photography as a photogenic item.

In the kitchen car, “Flower Blooming Cocktail” and “Flower Blooming Soda” using edible flowers will appear for the first time. We also sell craft miscellaneous goods related to flowers and hold workshops. You can experience spring outdoors with flowers.

An event that continues by utilizing beautiful resources delivered from one of Japan's leading production areas

From April 29th to May 5th, tulip petals, which are popular in bulb cultivation in Niigata and Toyama prefectures, are laid out like a carpet. Tulips are a beautiful by-product that is cut and discarded before flowering to grow good bulbs.

In addition, the largest gerbera in Japan arrives from Shizuoka prefecture, and you can enjoy floating the Hanabusa in a water bowl. Gerbera makes use of flowers that could not be shipped due to slight differences in color and size. The flower-blooming resonance of the corridor is an event that has been going on for 17 years with the support of the people in the production area.
