[Hoshinoya Karuizawa] Limited to 1 group per day Enjoy the taste of autumn at dusk with “Momiji Matsutake Mushroom Aperitif”

2022.09.03

From October 1, 2022, we will hold the “Momiji Matsutake Mushroom Aperitif” where you can enjoy the autumn leaves at dusk while enjoying the special matsutake mushroom appetizer and champagne that goes well with the special matsutake mushroom appetizer.

A special seat with a view of the autumn leaves at sunset

In one corner of the “Tanada” on the premises of HOSHINOYA Karuizawa, we will prepare a special seat limited to one group per day.
A wide variety of trees grow on the terraced rice fields, which remind us of the original landscape of Japan, not only with maples but also magnolias, cherry blossoms, and konara oaks.
It is a space where you can enjoy the view of autumn leaves changing colors in various ways and the fallen leaves spreading like a carpet on one side of the terraced rice field.
Also, at dusk, the setting sun shines on the surface of the water, and the autumn leaves are dyed in the setting sun.

"Matsutake mushroom appetizer" that combines the taste of autumn in Shinshu

“Japanese Cuisine Kasuke” offers a special matsutake mushroom appetizer.
Enjoy the texture of juicy grape pulp and crunchy matsutake mushrooms in the [Tofu paste with matsutake mushroom and grape], and the [Croquette with matsutake mushroom and buckwheat groats] with creamy and rich buckwheat noodles and diced matsutake mushrooms.
It is a side dish that combines the tastes of autumn unique to Shinshu, such as the “Confit of matsutake mushroom and ayu”, which is cooked at a low temperature and fills your mouth with the flavor of matsutake mushrooms and ayu(sweetfish).

Enjoy champagne that goes well with matsutake mushrooms

We offer champagne selected by a sommelier that goes well with matsutake mushrooms.
We will prepare “Charles Heidsieck blanc de blancs”.
Made from 100% Chardonnay, it has a refined and elegant taste that complements the taste of Japanese cuisine.
It has a mature aroma reminiscent of the earth and a mellow and deep flavor that harmonizes with the plump and powerful aroma of matsutake mushrooms.

[Hoshinoya Tokyo] “New Year’s Kabuki Stay” brings the hospitality of an Edo Period theatrical teahouse to the present day.

Hoshinoya Tokyo, a Japanese-style inn located in Otemachi, Tokyo, will again this year host the “New Year Kabuki Stay” program, a two-day and one-night stay from January 5 to 26, 2024.
For people living in Edo, one of their New Year’s pleasures was to watch Kabuki, and it was a chic way to spend the New Year. Theatrical teahouses supported this way of enjoying Kabuki. In addition to arranging tickets to the theater, the teahouses delighted patrons by providing a complete range of services, including plot notes, tea, sweets, makunouchi box lunches, and snacks and drinks (*1). Hoshinoya Tokyo offers a stay to celebrate the New Year with hospitality similar to the theatrical teahouses of the time.

[Shinjuku Gyoen x Naked] NAKED Autumn Foliage in Shinjuku Gyoen 2023 to be held

From November 22 (Wed) to December 3 (Sun), 2023, an autumn foliage lighting event will be held at Shinjuku Gyoen. Following the cherry blossom event this spring, Shinjuku Gyoen and Naked will collaborate again this fall for the autumn foliage event. Shinjuku Gyoen, one of Tokyo’s most famous gardens, is one of the few places in the city where visitors can enjoy the autumn leaves. The 200-meter-long rows of plane trees, the best maple tree spot in the city, Momijiyama, and the “Middle Pond,” with its spectacular reflection in the pond, will offer a world where the autumn leaves of Shinjuku Gyoen and Naked’s art and food are fused together.
