[Hotel Indigo Hakone Gora] First tie-up project Hakone Glass Forest Museum Special Commentary Guided Tour and Dinner Plan

2022.05.01

There is an accommodation plan where you can experience a ticket for the Glass Forest Museum and a special tour with a curator commentary guide that only guests staying at Hotel Indigo Hakone Gora can experience.

This plan includes a curator special commentary tour at the Hakone Glass Forest Museum and a hotel course dinner using Venetian glass.
You can experience “a new encounter with Venetian glass in Hakone” through the tableware used in cooking as well as the exhibits in the museum.

Curator special commentary tour

The curator special commentary tour included in the plan introduces the history of Venetian glass from the 15th century to the 19th century and the highlights of the works.
In addition, this plan is a special tour that will guide you to the “Contemporary Glass Museum”, which exhibits 20th century glass sculptures.

You can deepen your understanding of the glassmaking techniques that Venice has cultivated and the stories that have been passed down to the present day.
At the end of the tour, we will introduce the story of traditional techniques that have been passed down for a long time in the museum shop with a wide selection of items and the thoughts of the artist.

Experience Venice as you discover the magnificent story of Venetian glass, which continues to shine over time, as you admire a variety of works from the Renaissance to the present and hundreds of years of history.

Special dinner with Venetian glass

An amuse of “Kuromeski” made by traditional techniques and served on a lovely Millefiori glass plate with a mosaic pattern.
There is an appetizer “low-temperature cooked duck confit and grilled firewood vegetables with coriander seeds” using a small bowl made by CC Zecchin, whose bright colors are impressive and you can see the high level of technology.
Enjoy a total of 6 carefully cooked dinner dishes.
