[Important Cultural Property] Renovation of a traditional townhouse adjacent to the Kusakabe Folk Crafts Museum Accommodation facility limited to one group per day opens

2022.09.16

Hida Takayama is an ancient city with a scenic townscape that conveys history to the present day.
A traditional townhouse adjacent to the important cultural property “Kusakabe Folk Crafts Museum” will be renovated, and the luxury villa “Taniya” will open on October 10, 2022 (Mon), limited to one group per day.

The concept of the newly opened “Taniya” is for guests to stay as “guests of the Kusakabe family.”
We will inform you about special programs that allow you to experience the richness of nature centered on the forest, and will deliver a moment where a restaurant representing Hida Takayama will show its skills just for you.

We offer a special stay as a cultural complex facility in Hida Takayama, including dining around a large hearth, music performances, and geisha seating arrangements.

The opening date is the autumn Takayama Festival

Taniya is located in Oshinmachi, Takayama City, which is part of the Toyoakedai-gumi area of the autumn Takayama Festival.
October 10th, the opening date, is exactly the day of the Autumn Takayama Festival.
Guests staying at Taniya on a special day once a year will be able to enjoy a special time that cannot be enjoyed on a regular trip as the guest of honor of the Kusakabe family invited to the festival.
