KAI KIRISHIMA, a hot spring inn surrounded by magnificent nature overlooking Sakurajima, will begin selling plans for the “Kirishima Kaiyun Trip 2024” from January 2024.
Kirishima, where KAI KIRISHIMA is located, is a national treasure and Kirishima Jingu Shrine is the most famous power spot in southern Kyushu.
This third edition of the “Kirishima Kaiun Journey” has retained the various experiences related to good fortune that have been popular up to now, and added “Kaiun Walking” in the hope that visitors will experience a unique kaiun journey in Kirishima, where mythology is alive in the rich natural surroundings.
Special prayer and special viewing of the nine masks at Kirishima Jingu Shrine
KAI KIRISHIMA’s local music “ENBU” is a dynamic performance that expresses the story of the myth of the descent of the grandchildren. After praying at Kirishima Jingu Shrine, you can view the nine masks, which are not open to the public, at the Kaguraden (Kagura hall) for a special viewing.
Receive a red seal in the original red seal book of KAI KIRISHIMA
At KAI KIRISHIMA, visitors can make their own red seal book with Satsuma Washi as the cover before visiting Kirishima Jingu Shrine.
Kirishima Shinsui Gorge for a lucky break walking (NEW).
Kirishima Shinsuikyo, located within walking distance from Kirishima Jingu Shrine, is a gorge rich in nature created by the volcanic activity of Kirishima. Before starting out on the walk, you will receive a lecture on how to breathe and walk to dispel daily worries and evil thoughts and improve your concentration.
Purifying salts and hot springs to purify the unclean
In the guest room open-air baths overlooking Sakurajima and Kinko Bay, guests purify their bodies and minds with “purifying salt from the withdrawing shrine” in preparation for their visit to Kirishima Jingu Shrine.
Taste shochu named after fortune with Satsuma faceted glass
In the guest rooms, we offer “Kaiun Densetsu,” a brown sugar shochu made in limited quantities of only 1,000 bottles on Amami-Oshima Island, Kagoshima Prefecture. The brown sugar shochu is made with great care by brewers who are thankful for a successful year and resolve to work hard the following year. The brown sugar shochu has a rich and aromatic flavor.
