Take a walk through “Rikugien”, one of the “two major gardens in Edo”

The Edo daimyo garden reflects the bright and easy-going atmosphere of the Genroku era. The autumn leaves of the representative garden “Rikugien” are in full bloom.

Inner garden Daimon

If you enter counterclockwise from the main gate, you will find the inner garden Daimon. I would like you to enjoy the magnificent view that spreads beyond this gate.

Takimi Chaya
A mountain stream runs beside Azumaya. The area behind it has a calm atmosphere where the light does not reach.

Horai Island
It is an island of cave stonework (arch shape). This is a kind of stone set with the theme of Shinsen thought.

Take a break at Fukiage Chaya overlooking the garden
There is a set of matcha that you can enjoy seasonal sweets. (700 yen / tax included)
This time, I had a refreshing scent of yuzu.

Togetsukyo
In 1965, Yoshiyasu Yanagisawa himself designed and instructed him, dug a large pond in the center, built a mountain, and spent seven years building this strolling artificial hill spring water garden.
There are several things to see, but the most recommended one is Togetsukyo.
The view from the outside to the inside of the pond is lit by the sun and the trees shine beautifully. You can also enjoy the appearance of a flock of ducks at the bridge. It’s a spot that makes you feel like you’re in a scene from a story.

It was a wonderful garden where you can enjoy various expressions over time. Please visit “Rikugien Garden” by all means.
