A kaleidoscope world that shimmers at the bottom of the glass

2022.01.30

Raden is a technique for engraving and fitting luminescent shells and other shellfish. Amano Laquer Ware, which manufactures and sells lacquer ware in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, started limited sales of [Raden Glass] Gold Cup / Kaleidoscope Series and Kaleidoscope Glass on the crowdfunding site “OHACO” on January 12, 2022.

唯一無二の技 螺鈿ガラス

This is an original product of Amano lacquer ware, which is finished with lacquer by incorporating the Raden technique, which is a characteristic of Takaoka lacquer ware, into the “glass material” that has a sense of transparency and hard beauty.
The technique of applying Raden work to this glass is a delicate technique that can only be expressed by us, and by pouring water or sake, the Raden is reflected on each side of the glass, giving off a mysterious glow like a kaleidoscope.
