Hina dolls brought by the Tokugawa family and daimyo princesses during the Edo period are particularly important in Oita prefecture, and you can see many unique dolls in various parts of Oita prefecture from February to March.

Hita is a territory that prospered during the Edo period. Many luxurious dolls that Australian merchants at the time purchased in Kyoto and Osaka are still available today. A representative example is the Hinamori decoration of the Hirose Museum for the Tenpo years. It is open all year and is the highlight of the hina tour course. Hina dolls that have made such luxuries are rare throughout Japan.
