2020.02.16

At “Team Lab Planets TOKYO DMM”, the two pieces in the museum will be dressed in spring for a limited time from March 1 to April 30, 2020.
One year after its opening in July 2018, “Team Lab Planets TOKYO DMM” (Toyosu, Tokyo), which has attracted more than 1.25 million people from 106 countries and regions around the world, is barefoot and is a huge work. It is a “museum in the water” that immerses the whole body inside.
With the opening of Toyosu Market and Edo Maeba Shimomachi in the neighborhood, you can enjoy food experiences using fresh ingredients, souvenirs that you can feel Japanese culture, and enjoy shopping.

2 works where cherry art is released

The flower “Floating in the Falling Universe of Flowers”, which spreads in space as the flowers change with time and the universe of life spreads in the space, will be filled with cherry blossoms in the space only this time. In addition, in the work “Drawing on the water surface drawn by carp dancing with people-Infinity” where visitors walk barefoot in the water, the carp swims on the water surface that spreads infinitely, and when the carp hits the people, it turns into cherry blossoms. Change and scatter. Throughout the year, the blooming flowers change with the seasons.

Works that turn into cherry blossoms

Floating in the Falling Universe of Flowers
teamLab, 2016-2018, Interactive Digital Installation, Endless, Sound: Hideaki Takahashi

The universe of life is spreading in space, where the flowers bloom for one year, changing with time. If you lie down or sit for a while, your body will eventually float and become one with the world.

Drawing on the Water Surface Created by the Dance of Koi and People – Infinity
teamLab, 2016-2018, Interactive Digital Installation, Endless, Sound: Hideaki Takahashi

A carp is swimming on the water surface that extends infinitely. People walk into the water.
Koi swim under the influence of people in the water and under the influence of other carps. When a carp collides with people, it scatters as a flower. Throughout the year, the blooming flowers change with the seasons.
Lines are drawn by the trajectory of a carp swimming under the influence of people.

>Work introduction

The work continues to be drawn in real time by computer programs. It does not play pre-recorded video. As a whole, the previous state is not duplicated and continues to change under the influence of the viewer’s behavior. I can never see the picture at this moment.
Become barefoot and immerse yourself in an enormous work with your body, along with others.

The discussions centered on the aspirations behind the ZIPANGU exhibition and offered forward-looking insights, not only into Japan’s art world but also into the rediscovery of value within Japanese culture by its people.
