2024.11.04

At Hoshino Resort Tomamu, a natural wonder resort where you can feel the earth of Hokkaido, the view is all snow from 10 January to 31 March 2025! The “Fog and Ice Terrace Afternoon Tea” is offered on the mountain at an altitude of 1,088 m, which can only be reached by gondola.

Small pastries and savouries inspired by ice floes and snowy mountains.

A total of eight types of small confectionery and savouries inspired by foggy ice and snowy mountains will be offered on a stand inspired by the Cloud Walk, a unique viewing point on the Foggy Ice Terrace. Small snacks include chocolates inspired by rime trees and Monte Bianco, which resembles a snow-capped mountain. For savouries, a prawn fritter sandwich will be prepared, inspired by the appearance of the ice fog, also known as a ‘prawn tail’. Guests can enjoy the unique characteristics of each menu item while enjoying afternoon tea.

‘Foggy Ice Cream Coffee’, inspired by the image of foggy ice.

An original drink inspired by a winter landscape sparkling with rime will be available. We recommend a bittersweet coffee with snowy, fluffy cream and melted sweets, inspired by the shimmering, foggy ice. Tea, herbal tea and hot milk are also available, so you can enjoy an elegant moment while warming up in the indoor Cloud Cafe, along with small sweets and savouries.

Spectacular winter views from the fog and ice terrace at an altitude of 1,088 metres.

Located at an altitude of 1,088 m, the fog and ice terrace offers views of the snow on the trees glistening in the sun and the snow-covered mountains. The observation deck is also built to jut out into the snow-covered mountains, allowing visitors to enjoy the spectacular winter scenery up close.
