Hotel Laforet Nasu is pleased to announce the launch of its winter accommodation package, ‘Nasu ONSEN and Gourmet Winter Journey Plan’, available from Monday, 1st December 2025 to Saturday, 28th February 2026. Immerse yourself in the scent of sulphur and indulge your senses with Nasu’s hot springs and gourmet cuisine.
This newly introduced accommodation plan was conceived with the wish to deeply heal both mind and body through Nasu’s sulphur hot springs, which engage all five senses—scent, texture, scenery, sound, and air—and cuisine themed around “fermentation”, which complements the hot springs perfectly.
Nasu Onsen, whose origins trace back to the “Deer Bath” where deer were said to heal their wounds, is an ancient hot spring mentioned in Nara period texts. At Hotel Laforet Nasu, which shares the same Nasu Onsen source as the “Deer Bath”, enjoy bathing in waters enveloped by the scent of sulphur, guiding your skin towards a more refined texture.
Dinner Course: Takumi
We offer a dinner course richly incorporating the blessings of fermentation, featuring fermented Chinese cabbage, sake lees, duck prosciutto, Nasu miso, tofu and more. Precisely because of the harsh cold, our dishes combine winter flavours that warm you to the core with the benefits of fermented ingredients, helping to restore balance from within.
Brilliant Dry Junmai
Accompanying your meal is a junmai sake crafted by the long-established brewery, Sotooke Shuzoten, in Mashiko Town, Tochigi Prefecture, using locally grown rice called “Tochigi no Hoshi”. Slightly dry in character, it features a robust umami flavour and a clean, crisp finish, making it an excellent pairing for Japanese cuisine and a wide variety of dishes. In 2024, it won the Gold Prize in the Hot Sake category at the National Hot Sake Contest, earning widespread recognition for its high quality.
Nasu Natural Hot Spring
A natural bath additive containing unprocessed, pure hot spring flowers harvested from Takayu Onsen, part of the Nasu Takayama Onsen area. Made from 100% naturally derived ingredients, it allows you to easily enjoy the distinctive scent and benefits of sulphur springs during your daily bath.
