[Chilled] Atami Butter Anpan with Salted Vanilla
Butter cream with a subtle hint of vanilla blends smoothly with Matikuan’s coarse-grained red bean paste. A pinch of sea salt enhances the refreshing flavour, making this a ‘cool, sweet-and-salty’ butter anpan that can only be enjoyed in summer.
Atami Butter Anpan Manju [Salted Vanilla]
We have baked this treat by wrapping a fine-textured butter filling—enriched with Matikuan’s coarse-grained red bean paste and vanilla beans—in a moist, bread-like manju dough. The sweet-and-salty flavour of the salt lightly sprinkled on top is truly addictive; this is a summer-only treat. It is also delicious when chilled in the fridge.
Drinkable Red Bean Float with Yuzu Jelly
Matai-an’s coarse-grained red bean paste is transformed into a refreshing ‘drinkable red bean’ treat. Beneath the vanilla ice cream, lightly dusted with a pinch of salt, lies a secret layer of buttercream. This is paired with a smooth, refreshing agar jelly infused with the fragrance of yuzu.
Chilled Butter Dorayaki
During the summer months, we serve our dorayaki—filled with Matikuan’s coarse-grained red bean paste, butter and a generous helping of whipped cream—chilled. Chilling the dorayaki allows you to enjoy its clean, refreshing sweetness.
