From May 11, 2020, a new product “AMABIE Pudding, Yuzu & Vitamin C” was launched at “la reves”, a pudding specialty store that opened in Wajima Morning Market in Ishikawa Prefecture.

What is "AMABIE pudding"

Named after the youkai AMABIE who has the legend of plague resolution. As the damage caused by the new coronavirus spreads, we adopted a design that depicts AMABIE with adorable illustrations so that you can be relieved, and with the hope that you can regain your normal life as soon as possible, the product name is “AMABIE Pudding Yuzu & “Vitamin C”.

Helps boost immunity with "vitamin C"

“AMABIE pudding, Yuzu & Vitamin C” is a rich and thick two-layered pudding and Yuzu jelly, and Yuzu jelly contains Vitamin C. Vitamin C is said to be useful for boosting immunity, so if you can contribute to boosting immunity by adding 100 mg of recommended daily vitamin C intake in the Japanese Dietary Intake Standards 2020 edition of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. What is Wajima Pudding "la reves"?

“La reves” is a pudding specialty store opened in Wajima Morning Market in March 2018. The project team consisted entirely of women, and the words “reves”, which means “dream” in French, were combined with the definite article “la”, which was originally a feminine noun, to express “dreams of women”. We offer “Plain,” which is known for its smooth and smooth texture, and “Yuzuguru”, which has a gentle flavor of yuzu and yogurt. As the first pudding specialty store on the Noto Peninsula and Wajima, it is attracting attention as a new souvenir of Wajima.

The Hiroshima Museum of Art is hosting the exhibition “ZIPANGU: Contemporary Artists Who Defined the Heisei Era” (November 2, 2024 – December 22, 2024). This showcase brings together works by some of the most prominent figures in Japan’s contemporary art scene, including Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami, Makoto Aida, Yoshitomo Nara, Chiharu Shiota, Izumi Kato, Akira Yamaguchi, and Miwa Komatsu. The exhibition has already garnered significant attention, exceeding 10,000 visitors.

HYAKKEI covered the dialogue between contemporary artist Takashi Murakami and Sueo Mizuma, the curator of this exhibition, held at the RIHGA Royal Hotel Hiroshima. We also conducted an exclusive interview with Mr. Mizuma.

The discussions centered on the aspirations behind the ZIPANGU exhibition and offered forward-looking insights, not only into Japan’s art world but also into the rediscovery of value within Japanese culture by its people.
