[eXcafe] “Dusty, Zenzai Set” with Kyoto-style fu baked on a shichirin is now on sale.

2023.10.22

eXcafe, a sweet shop café brand with five locations based in Kyoto, has begun selling a seasonal set product, the “Dusty, Zenzai Set,” which is available every year.

eXcafe proposes the ultimate baked zenzai

The most unique feature of eXcafe is that we provide freshly pounded mochi and a lovely individual sized shichirin, which we let our customers finish.
This product is a great way to get a head start on winter by diving into the azuki and enjoying the freshly baked product as it browns and puffs up.

Gentle Japanese healing for cold bodies

You can enjoy the warmth of zenzai, which not only warms your body from the inside out, but also soothes your soul, in a Japanese-style space.
In addition to the calm and relaxing space inside the store, each store offers seating where you can enjoy zenzai while looking out of the window at a typical Japanese landscape, such as a garden or trees.

Iide Town, Yamagata Prefecture] “Submerged Forest of Lake Shirakawa,” a Mysterious Spring-Only Scene

The mysterious scenery of Lake Shirakawa in the town of Iide in southern Yamagata Prefecture can be seen only during two months in spring. In spring, a large amount of melt water flows into Lake Shirakawa from the Iide mountain range, one of Japan’s 100 most famous mountains, where there is heavy snowfall. When the lake is full of water, it creates a fantastic sight of white willow trees as if they are growing out of the water.
