A horse riding experience that can be safely enjoyed in the nature of the plateau and forest, led by a horse trained in a natural environment and an experienced instructor. Usually, beginners have high hurdles and are usually limited to experiences in pulling horses and fences, but in this activity you can learn techniques to ride a horse in about 30 minutes of training.
If you wish, we will take you on a horseback ride to a sophisticated private lodge that stands quietly in the primeval forest. If you are traveling with small children, we can also drive you to the private lodge. After arriving, we will propose a special time such as enjoying lunch at the lodge or experiencing pony riding with peace of mind even for children.
Lake Towada is a caldera lake formed by volcanic activity that started about 200,000 years ago and is famous for the third deepest water in Japan. Its magnificent nature and beautiful blue water change its appearance according to the four seasons and fascinate people. In addition, the nearby Towada Shrine and the legend of Ryujin are attracting attention as power spots.

The Hiroshima Museum of Art is hosting the exhibition “ZIPANGU: Contemporary Artists Who Defined the Heisei Era” (November 2, 2024 – December 22, 2024). This showcase brings together works by some of the most prominent figures in Japan’s contemporary art scene, including Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami, Makoto Aida, Yoshitomo Nara, Chiharu Shiota, Izumi Kato, Akira Yamaguchi, and Miwa Komatsu. The exhibition has already garnered significant attention, exceeding 10,000 visitors.
HYAKKEI covered the dialogue between contemporary artist Takashi Murakami and Sueo Mizuma, the curator of this exhibition, held at the RIHGA Royal Hotel Hiroshima. We also conducted an exclusive interview with Mr. Mizuma.
