Aomoriya “Hana Yori Dango carriage” that grills rice cakes with the scenery of the spring park on the side

2021.01.27

At Hoshino Resort Aomoriya, an inn where you can fully enjoy the culture of Aomori, from April 1st to May 31st, 2021, we will operate a “Hana Yori Dango carriage” that grills rice cakes with the scenery of the spring park sideways.
In front of the scenery of spring such as cherry blossoms and azaleas, you can enjoy the cherry blossoms in the park by offering the local sweet “June Mochi” that has been eaten at festivals for a long time in the carriage. To ensure peace of mind, the capacity is limited to 2 groups each hour, and acrylic panels will be installed between the staff and each group. The best time to see the cherry blossoms is from April 20th to May 9th.

Reproduce the life of Aomori where horses were close

In Aomori Prefecture, which used to be a production center for famous horses, horses are indispensable to people’s lives and are valued as a family-like existence, such as farming, carrying luggage, and carriages that operate as a means of transportation. Aomoriya operates horse-drawn carriages around the park so that you can experience a part of the life that horses were familiar with.

Enjoy "June Mochi"

In the scenery of spring, such as cherry blossoms and azaleas, the horse-drawn carriage offers the local confectionery “June Mochi,” which has been eaten at festivals for a long time. “June” is a perilla that is also used in cooking oil. The fruit is roasted and mixed with miso, and June miso is applied to the skewered rice cake and baked on a net to finish it with the desired aroma and taste. You may be absorbed in the deliciousness of June Mochi and forget about cherry blossom viewing.
